MICHAELA MANDEL
I am currently working on my film script "SAN POLO 989, 2nd or 4th floor". It will be an experimental documentary about the apartment of the austrian/italien writer Anita Pichler. Pichler was a radical female artist who left a small but captivating Œuvre. She died at a very young age and made her flat in Venice available to other writers in her will.
The experiment of this film lies in the reclaim of architektur through the remembrance of those writers which used to live in Pichlers apartment temporarily. I will portray this recapture by visualising the process of memory and will illustrate some hereby upcoming memory gaps.
